avery and aidan are so dear to me.. their parents are aiiiiight too.. true to form, avery gave me a tough time – mostly.. but i was able to get some really sweet images when she was having fun despite my presence… big brother aidan turned it on for me like he always does.. he’s so sweet – and the eyes on him.. gorgeous.. they both are so pretty.. but totally different!   Avery has blue, blue eyes.. and aidan dark brown.. the kids are so sweet and funny.. and AWESOME as Avery would say..

had a blast with you guys..  quick post so mom does not kill me for making her wait..

tiny new baby jack – he’s about 4 weeks old here.. and the little guy was snoozing the entire time.. 4-week-olds generally have lots of awake time – but jack was content to be snoozy the whole session… luckily, big sister Emma was around to help out..  tiny and cute.. a very quick peek.. because i know their mom is dying to see..

emma looks serious in the last two, but i just think they are so pretty

nolan :: perfect little guy

November 30, 2009

so excited that nathan and sharon had me over and meet their new babe, nolan..  a very perfect little family they are and one very awesome little boy they have…  they are so in love with him – and from the way he fell asleep in his mom’s arms – I’d say he’s pretty darn in love too..  i loved seeing them as a family..  for first time parents, they were so easy to be with and photograph.

Despite Nolan’s “off” day, the images are adorable… here are just a few.. he’s soooo cute – the hair… the toes… the belly!

had such a great time visiting with you guys!

i am leaving for augusta in just a few minutes, but i promised beth and her family a peek before i headed out..

little emma is a doll and is surrounded by the most awesome group of people.. this time I got to meet some more of the family and they were just as nice as the rest of the group..  for this session, i made my way to Richlands, VA.. and to their gorgeous home in the middle of wide open green fields.. so many great spots to run (and fall), twirl, jump.. cool barns, fences, rocks.. LOVED it..

we just had a great time.. here are just a few..

great ones of brook and adam.. and stephanie, dan and lance too.. but no time to share!  you will have to wait!  Have a WONDERFUL thanksgiving and thank you for having me (and feeding me)

gorgeous kids :: alec and ava

November 19, 2009

now for the real peek…

brandy and i met alec and ava on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in hopes of capturing their little spirits on “film”… ava is gorgeous – simply beautiful and i love her cautious little way – and then when she is comfortable with you – she opens right up and doesn’t stop..  and then alec.. alec is a HAM.. i mean.. as i was editing these – he has just the most jump off the screen personality .. he plays shy for about 10 seconds and then – watch out!

we had such a great time with these two..

for those of you who can’t see the above video.. here are a few images..

i still have quite a few sessions to blog and one more quick pumpkin palooza to post, but that won’t be done today!

today i am mom to one Ariel Princess and one Grumpy Toddler, and one little boy who wants me to come inside to get him instead of doing pick up line..

a little note.. i am heading down to Augusta, GA on Tuesday next week..  while I will be relaxing with good friends, I am doing a bit of work also – cute kids there too!   I have a newborn, mr. jack.. a couple of babes and then a couple of bigger tots to chase around.. Please let me know if you’d like to be squeezed in while i am in Augusta.. I will be coming home on Sunday morning (or.. maybe Saturday eve – just writing this made me miss my family!)

i don’t even know where to start!  this weekend, a dear friend of mine, brandy, (and might i say, the one who inspired me to get in to photography) came in town and i quickly put her to work!  so there were two of us for this session – didn’t phase these little guys..

we met katy, jason and the boys at their farm – omg.. PERFECT day, perfect light, perfect little boys… the boys were sooo awesome – absolutely perfectly behaved and little models in front of the camera – well, little models who are sooooo much BOYS.. and BROTHERS.. they were all over the place – and happy.. their laughter was so great to hear.. and just watching them interact was so cool.. they really love each other and it’s so apparent in the images we got!

i LOVE how collin is so cautious and makes sure he is doing what is expected – such the first born.. and then connor is wide open all the time – such the second.. they are so fun to be around

they are crazy handsome little guys.. love them.. hope you enjoy your peek.. may take me until Christmas to get the gallery of your whole collection edited!!

my mom came up to visit earlier this week.. and this does not happen too often with the frequency of sickness we seem to have at the Goodnight household this year.. but we’d been healthy for an entire two weeks and mom must have really missed us because she braved the germs and came up.. we had the best time – just laughing at each other and being mom and daughter.. hair cut for her from my new favorite hair guru, buffie.. and let me tell you – mom’s hair was JACKED up.. and i say that with MUCH love!  it was baaaaad.. so.. haircut, lots of coffee, nighttime with the kiddos, car pool, program at Coop’s school, naptimes – such a great visit.

and do i have ONE good picture of me and mom.. OR mom and kids???  NOOOOOOOO.. UGH! sooo annoyed at myself

but.. mom did come with gifts (as always.. )  this time the gifts were super cool – things to do.. crafty/science-y stuff.. well.. um.. not possible with out adult supervision – basically I got a crystal growing kit and a bracelet making kit..

Thursdays are a huge family day/night here.. i try not to work at all..  and this thursday was no different.. kids wanted to work on their crafts.. Cooper got this really cool crystal growing kit – and I LOVE science stuff – so we started that when Mom was here and checked up on it today.. but seriously.. check out the procedure lab notes .. this is NOT a kid thing.. super cool, but not for a six year old.. he loves it though.. and we look at the crystals through a magnifying glass.. he is such a cool kid.

and then for abby she got this friendship bracelet making weaving thing.. well.. i am NOT a crafty person.. i can’t knit or weave or heck – even hot glue!  I just can’t.. we started this bracelet at 5:42 this evening and it is 8:30!.. IF it gets finished I will post a picture.. but Abby can’t do it at all – emily keeps falling and needing to be held because she is exhausted.. i keep putting the wheel down and forgetting where i was.. just a mess.. but abby can’t wait to have it!..

seriously.. look at this thing.. i mean.. wha??

IMG_8373Untitled-2

some little emily feet – and we are stopping at her feet because she looks like a hot mess today!

note the little Hello Kitty Sticker on her heel. she calls it “Abby Kitty”

It’s Survivor night.. and I’m supposed to be getting Popcorn!

a perfect afternoon in Abingdon this was!   and a perfect family for the day too – they were up for anything – although mom, debbie, had stairs on the brain -  luckily there are lots of cool stairs in Abingdon!  families with kids this age are fun to photograph… .and it always helps to have a dad who is up for anything too… this family was so cute and you can tell they have lots of fun together.. really well behaved confident kids too – makes life easy for me!

connor – awesome… caroline.. beautiful.. katelyn.. adorable..

enjoy the peek!
