ALL of the colors/text are totally customizable (is that spelled correctly?).. if you don’t like the color scheme here – i will change it for you.. to maybe say – green and red.. but here is a peek at a few.. these are just the fronts.. the insides are just as cool.. and the backs too..

package information coming next week.. but for now – hope you like the sampling..

leaving tomorrow for DC area.. have a brand new baby i can not wait to get my hands on!  and another session with a family i can’t wait to meet!   and have i picked out a new car?  NOOOOOO.. have i something comfortable to drive 6 hours in.. ?  no.. i think i shall rent a car..

so.. i’m almost.. almost finished with Christmas cards and packages for this year – Yep, it is still July!  I am booking well in to November for Christmas sessions and i needed to get on the ball with the cards and packages.. soooo..  if not tonight – then first part of next week i will have all that ready!

My last date for session to have prints back in time for cards/presents will be November 15…  After that there are no guarantees that I will be able to edit, order and deliver things in time to be sent out for Christmas… Plus, I am going to need time with my family too..    my vacation time will start December 6th (a few deliveries may still need to be done – that is fine)..  Newborn sessions – I will fit in any time..

the past 6 months i have been overwhelmed with calls for nilmdts.. the need in this area -  maybe because of the people gaining knowledge about nilmdts – has just grown..

the organization is now i lay me down to sleep – to help families with infant loss.. if you are a photographer in the area – professional or even an avid amature who would like to learn more – please contact me – nicholle@nichollegoodnightphotography.com or nilmdts to get more information… as photographers, we donate these services to the families fully – there is NO cost to the families or hospitals..  it is very emotional and difficult – each and every time, but for me, this is really something i feel drawn to… there is great training that you must complete before ever taking a session – and if you decide you can not do it – it’s okay..

i just hate knowing that there are families here in need of these services that we can’t cover.. so if you think you might be able to help, please look into it

we had oh.. maybe 3 minutes to do this!  with a HUGE umbrella over me.. poor guys getting pelted by rain..  but this was the ONLY time these boys would be together for quite a while.  christopher and charles were 3 when i met them – tiny little guys – now they are boys… really nice boys..

for angie..

a little peek..

see the rain drops on the lake??

i didn’t use my good camera ONE time on this trip – a vacation is not a vacation to me if i take the big camera out – i don’t enjoy the moment – so here are just some snaps..

let me catch ya all up.. my big kids went to cousins week in Florida earlier this month.. Emily and i then drove down – last Wednesday – stopping along the way to see friends (cathleen & chase, brandy, mike & sarah) .. we got to tom’s parents house on Friday – then I took Cooper and Abby to my grandparents house to visit for a couple of days…

abby, coop and great gpa charlie.. headed out for a round of golf.. (yeah, to get them tired!)

abby, emily and grandpa

emily was OUT OF CONTROL the entire trip.. 18 months is tough!!!

THEN my mother in law met us and we went to Disney for a couple of days..   here is one pic from the tree of life in Animal kingdom..

dscn1492

and the kids saw this guy and begged to take their pic with him!

dscn1475

seriously, that is like all the pics i took – i enjoyed it soooo much – just being with them and not trying to capture it – now it would have been awesome to have someone along to capture it for me -  i think my mother in law got some pics

we had a great time – abby busted her knees the first 5 minutes we were there, so we found the First Aid immediately..  the kids LOVED the T-Rex and Rainforest Cafes – MUCH fun!!!  Cooper’s 6th Bday was on Tuesday – so it was magical for him!  all the cast members at Disney said “Happy Birthday Cooper!!!”  he thought it sooo cool.. we just did the animal kingdom this time – soooo fun… hot, but as soon as we got back tot he resort, we went swimming – and i just got to be a mom for a while – silly and fun and no schedules – no work.. lenore, my mother in law was such help!

THEN on wednesday morning, i started the drive back from Orlando with the three kids – in the Jeep Cherokee – the Suburban situation unresolved to this day.. the trip back was – oh.. not fun – Emily was in between cooper and abby and terrorized them the WHOLE way.. and the screeched the rest of the time.. my ears rang for hours when we got home yesterday..

looking forward to enjoying what summer is left…

home.. :: quick note

July 23, 2009

vacation was nice.. disney was awesome.. but wow, where in the world did i think driving 3 kids home from Orlando was a good idea.. ???  we did have a great time.. more on the trip and some photos to share in a bit too.. right now, ears are ringing from the LOUD drive… and i need some down time..

i have SO much to catch up on – I’ve had lots of calls for sessions for the fall – I’ve just not had a moment to return any calls.. soon!  Deliveries getting ready tonight and orders coming in next week for many!

OH.. and did i mention – i get to go camping this weekend – JOY!!!

i’ve said it before.. i just love photographing at farms.. just love.. A FIRST for me were the directions i got from freddi … “and then turn left.. go up a mountain and then down the mountain”.. her parents house was in such a pretty little spot.. i wouldn’t leave with the wonderland they have..

i literally rushed home to download these.. i even didn’t have a glass of wine with them so i could get home and see these!  that is VERY uncharacteristic.  i have such fun with freddi and her family – can i just say i LOVE my “job”.. i really do..  this time i photographed freddi’s family and the extended group.. what a great group.. what a great house and property..  i could have stayed all night dragging them from idea to idea.. the colors they had on were soooo awesome – i can’t believe how great these turned out.. fantastic job with the wardrobe choices buffy..  and – the kids – awesome-ly behaved they were..  all of them..

my big kids are away and emily is asleep – tom is determined to fix our suburban.. edit i will!!!!

a few to peek.. i just couldn’t wait..

look at this gorgeous group.. i mean .. really..

must beware of angry chickens.. still laughing at that story brett..

a little change :: yip..

July 11, 2009

monday – ish..  a bit of a change is coming – nothing earth moving, just refreshingly new..

each year my In-Laws take their grandkids for a week – those that are over two years old.  Can you imagine?  Yes, they are awesome.   This will be the 3rd Annual Goodnight Cousin’s Week..  the  very first one – Cooper was 4, Abby 2 and I was 3 months or so pregnant with Emily.. i did a lot of crying when they left.. hard to hand your kids over to someone – for a week.. and they were sooo tiny!!!  Cousin Makenzie also 2 (but 6 months older than abby), rounded out the group that year..

first year – i dug out some phots – these are snapshots by a crying mom – so no comments on quality here..makenzie on the left, Coop in the middle, Abby on right

img_1761

and grams with the lot.. she had only been planning this for – um 15 years or so????

img_1763

then the next year.. cousin Nate was back from living in Germany (with his family of course)

Coop almost 5, abby 3, Makenzie 3 and Nate 4  (abby’s hair got butched by a chatty stylist – i cried)

Well, this year – there are SIX – SIX grandkids.  Cooper turning 6 next week, Nate 5, Makenzie 4, Abby 4, Isabelle 2, Hailey 2.

GOOD LUCK!!!
