i mean really, when you get a mom ask you to photograph her four beautiful girls, isn’t a “rustic” farm exactly what comes to mind? and when i say “rustic” let me give a clearer picture.. we have a dear friend, steve, who has an awesome old farm up in Abingdon.. we’ve been out there quite a few times and I’ve always wanted that perfect family to take out there – but it’s a true farm – goats, cows, donkeys and all the droppings that come with said animals.. so, when i mentioned the old farm idea to jennifer, the mom of these girls, and said, “the probability of someone stepping in poo is quite high”.. i thought, well, perhaps she will not be up for it.. but she was! and the girls were FABULOUS.. i mean.. it was almost as if they were little paid models! crazy well behaved – and didn’t complain of the smells – or the poo for that matter.. I had such a dream time with them..
here is one of delaney.. so confident and cool.. this image totally shows the “rustic-ness” – cow even in the back..

and sweet emerson..this little girl has a fun little sense of humor.. she found a jaw bone from some animal – and it had a wiggly tooth.. so we are certain it was a little kid animal and the animal tooth fairy would have to visit..

adorable little ellie.. who very much would like an orange donkey.. but not an orange talking donkey.. and not an orange cooking donkey because she wants to cook for him.. love 4 year old logic..

and gorgeous Avery.. crazy sweet and a gorgeous smile… which.. of course i won’t show! I’m feeling not smiley with my peeks today.

okay.. i’ll put one happy colorful image of the girls together..

i had a blast with these girls, i sure hope they did too..
oh and in the end.. the ONLY one to step in cow poo was ME!
